CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on Sunday asserted that his Government was working as a team for the integral development of the State. According to an official release issued here, Mr. Hooda was speaking at a felicitation function organised by the Haryana Nagrik Sangh at Hyderabad. He called upon Haryanvis living in Hyderabad to give their unstinted support in making Haryana the number one State in the country. He said that his Government was striving to provide a congenial environment for the development of the State. Haryana Transport Minister, Randeep Singh Surjewala, said that the Haryanvis had kept their culture and values intact in whichever part of the country or world they worked in.
Science clubs in schools
The Haryana Government has decided to set up science clubs in schools at the district level to bring science culture in all schools in the State, the Deputy Chief Minister, Chander Mohan, who holds the Science and Technology Departments, said here on Sunday. He disclosed that Science Kits would be provided to the students in all schools. The Science and Technology Department would organise science essay writing competitions besides a science congress for students. The Department would also provide grants to the various educational institutions for holding seminars and workshops to popularise science in the State. Mr. Chander Mohan said that the Department would also implement extension programme for creating awareness regarding intellectual property rights by organizing workshops, providing publicity material and putting up hoardings in the State. Water harvesting would also be popularised. The Government had also decided to set up a Biotechnology Park at Manesar in district Gurgaon.
