House burgled in Madambakkam

TAMBARAM: A gold chain weighing five sovereigns and Rs. 13,000 in cash were burgled from a house in Madambakkam near Tambaram. The burglary came to light on Sunday.The police said Viswanathan had left for his daughter's house in the U.S. in September, asking a relative to take care of the house on Sudharsan Nagar Seventh Cross. When his relative came to the house on Sunday, he noticed the door broken open and the valuables missing from the almirah.
