AT YOUR DOORSTEP: Union Finance Minister R. Chidambaram flagging off Andhra Bank's new facility at Saifabad on Sunday.
HYDERABAD: Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram inaugurated the Andhra Bank's mobile ATM - ATMobile -- at the bank's head office, Saifabad. He later flagged off the vehicle which offers multiple services even in remote areas. The RBI has licensed the bank to operate the ATMobile initially in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. It will have a weekly schedule covering various rural/remote places with final destinations like Ghatkesar, Zaheerabad, Medchal, Narsapur, Shamshabad, Kondapur. The Ministerappreciated the bank's endeavours in launching such innovative schemes. The ATMobile works on advanced CDMA technology and is designed with inbuilt security features. K. Ramakrishnan, CMD, R. Balakrishnan, Executive Director, and other officers of the bank were present.
