College celebrates golden jubilee

CHENNAI: The Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women (formerly S.I.E.T), founded by late Justice Ahmed Sayeed, has completed 50 years. On the occasion of its golden jubilee celebrations, the Sanskrit, Hindi and French departments of the college are organising various programmes from January 24 to 31.

The Sanskrit department is organising "Swarna Mahotsav"on January 28 to highlight the contribution of Sanskrit literature in promoting the cultural harmony in the country. On January 31, the department of French is organising inter-collegiate competitions, while the Hindi department is organising a state level seminar and other competitions on January 24 & 25.
