Course on travel and tourism launched

CHENNAI: Kuoni Academy of Travel (KAT) has launched a diploma course in travel and tourism through interactive onsite learning.

This enables students at 60 non-metro centres across India to do it from their hometown.

KAT has partnered with Hughes India, a provider of satellite broadband service and interactive onsite learning.

The course will involve 240 hours of learning, over the satellite platform. The students will be taught international and domestic ticketing (IATA/UFTAA), world geography, tourism industry, tourism marketing, travel agency operation, tourism planning, tourism plant and culture trends.
