GAIL pays interim dividend

KOCHI: Proshanto Banerjee, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL (India), has handed over a cheque of Rs.290.96 crores to the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Panchayati Raj as interim dividend for the financial year 2005-06, says a press release. Earlier, the Board of Directors of GAIL at their meeting approved payment of interim dividend at 60 per cent on the equity share capital of Rs.845.65 crores for the financial year 2005-06.

Last financial year, the company had paid an interim dividend at 40 per cent followed by a final dividend at 40 per cent on the equity share capital.
