Bangalore: Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Krishna, who has to play a crucial role in the ongoing political crisis in the State, is in consultation with constitutional experts on various issues, including who is to be recognised as the leader of the Janata Dal (Secular) Legislature Party. Mr. Krishna, who belongs to the Janata Dal (S), called on the party's national president, H.D. Deve Gowda, on Monday. He termed the meeting a "courtesy call" and said he had stopped discussing politics with Mr. Deve Gowda once he became the Speaker. Mr. Krishna said he might require at least two days to complete the consultations with the constitutional experts. Only after that would he be able say anything on the issue. They are the people who guide me under such circumstances, he said.
