BJP condemns Centre's stand on terrorism

Staff Correspondent

MYSORE: Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday staged a protest against the "soft stand" taken by the Union Government towards terrorism and those abetting it. They said that the protest was staged to mark the Anti-terrorism Day on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

A press note issued on the occasion said that terrorism is spreading across the country. The attack on Parliament, Akshardham Temple and the Indian Institute of Science were an attack on country's pride. Terrorism has been bleeding Kashmir Valley for long.

All these have resulted in loss of life and property. Despite all these attacks, the release said that the Union Government has not initiated action to curb terrorism.

Further, it said that a situation has been created in the country where terror acts can be executed at will. The party demanded that the Union Government initiate steps to protect the unity and integrity of the country by providing security against terrorist threats.
