GULBARGA: Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner A.R. Kulkarni has warned that legal action will be initiated under the Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, against establishments which fail to clear their dues. In a press release issued here on Monday, Mr. Kulkarni said filing of criminal cases, attachment of movable and immovable assets, auction or sale of property, arrest of the employer and attachment of the bank account are being contemplated under the provisions of the Act to recover outstanding dues. Defaulting establishments and employers should remit PF dues to avoid action against them. Mr. Kulkarni said the Sub-Regional Office of the PF at Madina Complex will be shifted to Bhavishyanidhi Bhavan, 97, Shaik Roza, Aland Road, Gulbarga, by the end of this month. Members of the fund should not submit withdrawal applications till the first week of February.
