Correction

Referring to a news report published in these columns of The Hindu dated January 20, the former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, V. C. Kulandaiswamy said that while inaugurating a national seminar on education in the 21st century he had stated that the "U.S.A earned $ 13 billion from foreign students (and not $ 30 billion as reported). Also, he had stated, "while the content in the syllabus has changed, the conduct of instruction in the class room has remained the same and consequently the productivity has not."
