MANGALORE: The Mangalore North (Bunder) Police on Monday arrested three persons in connection with an attempt to sell tiger skin from near Car Street. They have recovered the skin valued at Rs. 2 lakhs from them. Based on information given by them, a police team then arrested two persons from Bantwal on the charge of having supplied the skin to the accused to sell it locally. The police gave the names of the arrested as Hameed (42) of Yemmekere, Mangalore, Radhakrishna (28) of Narimogaru, Puttur, Kishore (48) of Kudroli, Mangalore, Amarnath Baliga and Upendra Baliga from Bantwal. A case has been registered under the Wildlife Act and investigation is on.
