Two-day seminar on changing face of families

  • The seminar will discuss the role of women in fostering healthy families

    MANGALORE: St. Aloysius College of Social Work will organise a two-day seminar on the "Changing face of families, challenges and responses" at the college on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Eugene Lobo, principal, St. Aloysius College.

    The seminar has been organised with the aim of understanding the changing scenario of the Indian family system in the age of globalisation. The family system will be analysed from social, psychological, spiritual and religious perspectives. He said industrialisation and urbanisation is restructuring relationships . The seminar will discuss the role of women in fostering healthy families, changing patterns of family bonds, fundamentalism, rituals and modernisation. Ali Khwaja, director, Banjara Academy, Bangalore, will deliver the keynote address. Dola Mohapatra, national director, Christian Children's Fund (India), will be the chief guest.
