The clamour is for young blood in politics. We saw it during the Congress spectacle at Hyderabad with the demand for Rahul Gandhi getting vociferous. We saw it earlier in the rise of youthful leaders like Sachin Pilot and Varun Gandhi. But what about the golden oldies?

Should the youngsters buy all the ripened leaders a prolonged world tour ticket and pack them off? Or should they offer them flattering retirement options on the sun-kissed beaches of Mauritius or Miami?
