MADURAI: MaduraiDotNet, a usergroup consisting of individuals from various walks of life, who are passionate about .NET and other related technologies, launched three products ---- Visual Studio.NET 2005, SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk Server 2006 at Thiagarajar College of Engineering recently (January 7). Visual Studio 2005 is a complete set of development tools for building ASP.NET Web applications, XML Web services, desktop and mobile applications. SQL Server 2005 is a next-generation data management and analysis software that will deliver increased scalability, availability and security, making them easier to create, deploy, and manage. BizTalk Server 2006 delivers business agility through flexible and manageable business process automation.
Tools for all levels
These products offer tools for developers of all skill levels, from hobbyists through software teams. Nirmalanand Jebakumar, Manager, MaduraiDotNet usergroup, handled an introductory session on .NET. Kaushik Srenevasan, Engineer, Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab, Bangalore, handled sessions on these new products. The launch at Madurai evoked a tremendous response from the corporate and the student community. Inaugurating the Community Launch at Madurai, V. Abhai Kumar, Principal, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, stressed the need to look at technology beyond barriers. R. Rajaram, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering addressed the gathering. The launch also showcased XBOX 1.0, the gaming console from Microsoft.
