Bonds crash across the board

MUMBAI: Government bonds on Tuesday virtually crashed across the board on hectic selling after the Reserve Bank of India hiked the reverse repo and repo rates by a quarter percentage point to contain inflationary pressures amid a temporary liquidity crunch in the system.
