Dindigul shot out for 176

DINDIGUL: Host Dindigul, asked to bat, made 176 in 76.2 overs against Kancheepuram on the opening day of the two-day quarterfinals of the TNCA-Hercules MTB Turbo Drive inter-district under-19 cricket tournament here on Tuesday. At close, Kancheepuram was 54 for one in 11 overs.

The scores: Dindigul 176 in 76.2 overs (K.M. Ramachandran four for 43) vs Kancheepuram 54 for one in 11 overs.

Big win for KMCC

An unbeaten 86 by R. Kumar and a patient unbeaten 55 by P. Suresh saw Kanchana Memorial Cricket Club (KMCC) score an eight-wicket win over Masters Cricket Club (Tiruchengodu) in the DCAN-Indian Bank A division cricket league at the SPB Colony grounds at Namakkal recently.

In another match, Ranjit Cricket Club `A' posted a 44-run win over National Cricket Club (Rasipuram).

The scores:

A division: Masters CC (Tiruchengodu) 178 in 36 overs (P. Suresh four for 31) lost to Kanchana Memorial CC (Pallipalayam) 179 for two in 32 overs (R. Kumar 86 n.o., P. Suresh 55 n.o.).

Ranjit CC `A' (Tiruchengodu) 184 in 39.5 overs (Prabakaran 40) bt National CC (Rasipuram) 140 in 30.3 overs (J. Ramasamy four for 20).
