State cross-country race
BANGALORE: The Chitradurga District Athletic Association, under the aegis of the Karnataka Athletic Association, will conduct the State cross-country championships at Seregeri, Chitradurga, on January 29. The championships will be the basis of selecting the State team for the 40th National cross-country championships to be held in Pune from February 5 and 6.

The following are the events: Men: Long race (12 km), short race (4 km); junior boys u-20: 8 km; women: long race (8 km), short race (4 km); junior girls u-20: 6 kms; boys u-18: 6 km, boys under-16: 3 km, boys u-14: 2 km; girls u-18: 4 kms; girls u-16: 3 km; girls u-14: 2 km.
