KWA cautions against use of motor pumps

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The Kerala Water Authority (KWA) has warned the public against the use of motor pumps to draw water from the main lines in the distribution network in the corporation limits.

According to the Assistant Executive Engineer, KWA, Water Works Sub-Division, illegal use of motor pumps had been found in many places within the corporation limits. This would cause air block in the distribution network, besides causing disruption of water supply to many areas.

Besides, this would lead to the drainage water seeping into the distribution line. The KWA warned that the connections of the consumers who were found using motor pumps would be disconnected permanently without any prior intimation and would be penalised.
