Man robbed by fellow passengers in taxi

BANGALORE: Four persons travelling in a taxi threatened a fellow passenger and relieved him of Rs. 1,300 and a gold ring on Mysore Road flyover on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, Mukram boarded a taxi in Shivajinagar to go to Banashankari. Four persons were already seated in the taxi. As the taxi was moving on the flyover, the miscreants relieved Mukram of his cash and ring.

Body found

The body of a 32-year-old construction worker was found in a shed in Virat Nagar in Madivala police station limits on Monday night.

Police gave the name of the deceased as Swamy Kannan. He was staying in the shed since three months. The body was found following a complaint by Kannan's neighbour Ramesh that foul smell was emanating from the house. The police broke open the door of the shed and found the body in a highly decomposed state.

Chain snatched

Two motorcycle-borne men relieved Vasanta Lakshmiof her gold chain in Channammana Kere Achhukattu on Monday.
