To a question, the Minister said it did not matter to him whether he was a Minister or not. "Even if we lose tomorrow, it will not affect us." He, however, expressed confidence that the Dharam Singh Government would win the confidence vote.

The Minister said there was no scarcity of funds for the sammelan. The State Government had released Rs. 1 crore for it. This was highest sum ever released by the government for any sammelan.
