Plea to develop post office

KHAMMAM: The AP diploma Engineers Association district secretary B. Manohar Raju on Thursday sought steps for developing the three-decade-old post office at the Nagarjunasagar Sagar employees' camp in the town. Addressing a function after hoisting the national flag at the post office premises today, he said that the post office should be provided with facilities including fax and telegraphic services.

Post Master Ch. Gopal Rao said that speed post service and express service money orders were introduced in the post office recently. Prasadams of Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada, Bhadrachalam temple and Dwaraka Tirumala temple were being distributed to the devotees from the post office. The post office could get good response in mobilisation of small savings. He said steps were being taken to cater to the needs of the people in the fast developing locality.
