`Huge response' to BSNL scheme

Rajahmundry: General Manager of BSNL, East Godavari, RM Mohanakrishna has said there is huge response to the lifetime package, `Excel-Anant'. Addressing a press conference, he said in the first few days of introduction of `Anant' they sold out 2,500 cards and there was a demand for 2,000 more. He said there was no guarantee for lifetime packages by private operators as their licence was time-bound.

The GM said they would give Anant connection for Rs.1,046, including taxes which has to be recharged within six months.
