UNIDO official offers help for tech transfer

KOCHI: Seiji Oshima, head of Tokyo-based Investment and Technology Promotion office of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation), has offered help to transfer Japanese technology to industries in India. Japan has some advanced technology, which could be used in certain industrial applications, he said at a meeting hosted by Alumni Society of AOTS, an organisation of entrepreneurs, here.

Mr. Oshima explained various prospects and vast potential of cooperation and assistance from Japan in view of the new economic scenario in India. S.Ramnath, General Manager of Kinfra, Beby Mathew, president of ASA Kerala, and Hudson Peter, Secretary of ASA Kerala, were among those present.
