Wali Khan dies in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
Wali Khan, a close friend of India and son of ``Frontier Gandhi,'' Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, died in the capital of Pakistan's North Western Frontier Province, Peshawar, today after a prolonged illness, family sources said. He was 89. The veteran Pashtun leader was in coma after suffering a stroke two days ago. He breathed his last around 7.45 am today, his son Afsandiyar Wali Khan said.
His body would be kept at the Jinnah stadium till tomorrow afternoon to enable the public to pay homage. --PTI
