CHENNAI: Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Severe cold wave conditions prevailed over parts of north interior Karnataka and Telangana.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, north interior Karnataka, north Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema, rest north Tamil Nadu, rose appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, rest Rayalaseema, rest south coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little else where over the region.

They were largely below normal at one or two places over Telangana, north interior Karnataka, markedly below normal at a few places over rest Telangana, rest north interior Karnataka, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, north Tamil Nadu, below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest interior Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Cold wave warning: Cold wave conditions are likely to continue over Telangana and north interior Karnataka during next two nights.
