Action-filled month
Normalcy finally appears to have been restored on the city streets. For almost a month the city playing host to a series of activities ranging from pure scientific deliberations at the Indian Science Congress to political resolutions of the Congress, things have been hectic.
The arrivals and departures of VVIPs that included President A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh apart from a heavily guarded Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had resulted in a thick security cordon thrown around.
Traffic was stopped and motorists ended up spending long moments waiting for the motorcades to zoom past.
The cops swarmed all over, setting up blockades and frisking the passers-by. Indeed, it had been a hectic month.
