Greetings pour in for Chiranjeevi

HYDERABAD: Former Chief Minister and MP N. Janardhan Reddy has complimented Telugu film star Chiranjeevi for being named for the Padmabhushan award.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Mr. Reddy said Chiranjveei had not only earned accolades for his acting but also for social service. He said artistes should take inspiration from him in rendering social service.

TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu in another message hailed the announcement of award to Mr. Chiranjeevi. The prestigious award to the talented actor was a matter of pride for the people of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Naidu said and added that he was the second personality from South India to get selected for the award.

An inspiration

Mr. Naidu also complimented tennis sensation, Sania Mirza, Central University Vice-Chancellor, Sayyed Hasnain, scientist Harsh Kumar Gupta and lawyer P.P. Rao, on getting Padmasri award. The awards should become an inspiration for everybody, he added.
