HYDERABAD: The 57th Republic Day brought additional cheer to more than 800 school children of Government school, Goshacut as foundation stone was laid for their school building at Seetarambagh, Asifnagar mandal on Thursday. The school falling under Karwan Assembly constituency would accommodate both primary and high schools and have 18 classrooms and other infrastructure facilities like computer lab, science lab, toilets, compound wall. Of the total building cost of Rs. 62 lakhs, Rs. 43.4 lakhs was sanctioned by the District Collector under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Project. The remaining amount of Rs. 18.6 lakhs was contributed by the Hyderabad Area Round Table-134 (HART-134), a voluntary organisation. The building would be completed in six months and be ready by next academic year. Karwan MLA Mohd.Muqtada Khan thanked the Government and the NGO for sanctioning the school building and pledged his support to programmes for improving infrastructure and educational facilities in the constituency. SSA Additional Project Co-ordinator V. Madhusudan also spoke.
