Legislature Party meeting today to decide strategy to be adopted in Assembly

BANGALORE: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators, who were moved out of Bangalore last week, returned to Attibele on the city's outskirts on Thursday.

The legislators, who arrived at a hotel in two buses, were given a rousing welcome.

MLAs Katta Subramanya Naidu and R. Ashok and MLC Aravind Limbavali told presspersons that a whip has been issued to all party legislators. The strategy to be adopted in the Assembly when the Dharam Singh-led coalition Government tries to demonstrate its majority on Friday will be decided at the BJP Legislature Party meeting to be held in the morning, they said. Janata Dal (Secular) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy will remain firm in his resolve to ally with the BJP, they said.

Mr. Ashok said the BJP will create history by forming the Government in partnership with Janata Dal (Secular). The legislators were shifted out of Bangalore not because the leadership lacks faith in them. But there was need to ensure that the Congress does not resort to tricks as it did in Jharkhand, Mr. Ashok said.
