Stress on training for workers

Foundation stone laid for training and research centre

KOCHI:
Comprehensive research study on labour and training is the need of the hour in the era of globalisation, where labour is termed and treated as a mere commodity, said R. Venugopal, former national working president of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS).
The BMS leader laid the foundation stone for Labour Study, Training and Research Centre here on Thursday.
The Centre, an initiative of the trust Bharathiya Mazdoor Seva Kendram, will give training and retraining for workers, take orientation classes, counselling, industrial safety and take up research on all labour welfare legislations.. according to a statement.
