Mulford fails to visit book fair

NEW DELHI: United States Ambassador David Mulford, in the middle of a controversy for "advising" India how it should vote on the Iranian nuclear issue at the International Atomic Energy Agency, failed to turn up at the World Book Fair here on Friday.

The U.S. Embassy had put out an advisory that Mr. Mulford's would visit the American bookstall at Pragati Maidan in the afternoon. However, when presspersons reached there, they were told that he had had to "reschedule" his appointment.
