Art and science show opened in Shimoga

LIGHTING THE LAMP: Principal District and Sessions Judge Vijay Siriyannavar inaugurating the Art and Science exhibition in Shimoga on Friday.

SHIMOGA: The Principal District and Sessions Judge Vijay Siriyannavar said here on Friday that students should evince more interest in science-related issues as it will help them develop an aptitude for research.

He was inaugurating an Art and Science Exhibition at DVS Arts and Science College.

He asked students not to be confined merely to the classroom, but to associate themselves with activities, which can shape their personality.

Principal of the College S.S. Nanjundaiah presided over the function.

A.S. Vatsala welcomed the gathering.
