An eventful year for BVB

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya here celebrated its Annual Day on Friday with zeal and fervour.

The proceedings began with "Sarvadharma Prayer" rendered by the school choir. This was followed by the Annual Report presentation by the Principal, G. S. Negi, highlighting the various activities and achievements of the school during 2004-05. "The school has a clear focus on all-round development of students through its wide range of activities and its curriculum is heavy on culture and heritage education," he said.

The chief guest, Prof. M. Mukhopadhyay, eminent educationist, exhorted the student to strive for excellence. Academic excellence awards and proficiency prizes were given away by the chief guest.

The Kulpati K. M. Munshi Gold Medal was won by Soumya Srivastava for standing first in Humanities, Zubin Arora in Science, and Sonal in Commerce. The overall School Topper's award went to Zubin Arora, who also won "The Genius of the Year" award.

In Class X, L. Deepthi, Rahul Warrier, Richa Luthra and Rohit Srivastava were the winners.
