CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Cabinet which met here on Friday under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, decided to raise the age of retirement on superannuation of State Government employees, falling under all categories of disabilities, from 58 to 60 years. According to an official spokesman, though the normal age of retirement of a blind employee already is 60 years, the decision to enhance the retirement age by two years would benefit all physically handicapped employees possessing minimum degree of disability of at least 70 per cent. The Cabinet also exempted levy of Value Added Tax on items purchased by CII for the help of victims of last year's quake in J&K for a period of one year.
