Lunch break increased for court

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court administration has increased its lunch recess by 15 minutes with effect from January 30, 2006.

As per a revised sitting times, notified by Registrar-General S. Palanivelu on Friday, the Principal Seat here as well as the Madurai Bench will have a one-hour lunch break instead of the existing 45 minutes. From Monday, the morning session will be between 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m., whereas the afternoon sitting will be from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
