HASSAN: Party workers in the district are jubilant over Leader of Janata Dal (Secular) Legislative Party H.D. Kumaraswamy being invited to form the Government. The general public are also happy as one from their district is becoming the Chief Minister. It is the second time a person hailing from Haradanahalli, a non-descript village in Holenarsipur taluk of the district, is becoming Chief Minister. The first to occupy the post was H.D. Deve Gowda in 1994. And he went on to become Prime Minister in 1996. Villagers burst crackers and distributed sweets, although some of them are upset over the differences between Deve Gowda and Mr. Kumaraswamy.
