PANAJI: Corporation Bank proposes to bring 95 per cent of its business under core banking solutions by the end of the current financial year and all of it by June 2006. As on December 2005, the bank brought 535 units under core banking solutions, which covers 86 per cent of the bank's business. The bank has 802 branches and 837 ATM centres as of now. The total business of Corporation Bank as on December 31, 2005, stood at Rs. 51,787 crores compared to Rs. 40,541 crores in December, 2004. This represented an increase of 27.7 per cent from the corresponding period the previous year. This was revealed in the performance highlights announced by the bank for the nine-month period that ended on December 31, 2005. The bank's aggregate deposits increased from Rs. 24,175 crores as on December 31, 2004 to Rs. 29,702 crores in December 2005, recording a growth of 22.86 per cent. During the same period, the advances showed an increase of 34.9 per cent. It went up to Rs. 22,084 crores from Rs.16,366 crores as on December 2004.
