WALKING TALL: Madhya Pradesh's Dharam Prakash (extreme left) and Punjab's Rajpal Singh, are the tallest players in the 25th Senior National Netball Championship being held in Vijayawada. PHOTO: CH. VIJAYA BHASKAR.
VIJAYAWADA: Anyone who wishes to talk to Madhya Pradesh's Dharam Prakash Bhojhani, who is here to participate in the Senior National Netball championship, would certainly get pain in the neck. Reason: Dharam is the tallest player in the tourney measuring a towering 7 feet 3 inches. He was the centre of attraction during the march-past at the inaugural ceremony. He emerged as the darling of the crowd as many were found eager to shake hands with him. "I am pursuing Class XII and have represented MP in two Nationals. This is the third one and I play the role of goal shooter. Due to my enormous weight (he is around 150kg), I move around the court sluggishly. But my ultimate job is to score goals," said Dharam. Giving a tough fight in height is Punjab's Rajpal Singh, who is measuring 7 feet, blessed with hands, which can accommodate two pairs of normal hands.
