VIJAYAWADA: M. Paramesh defeated M. Pavan Kumar 3-2 in the snooker segment of the AP State ranking tournament played at the Vijayawada Club here on Sunday.

The results: M. Paramesh bt Pavan Kumar 3-2 (73-37, 51-72, 0-61, 51-42, 46-36); I.V. Raju bt K Prasad 48-40, 50-49, 44-71, 76-16); K. Someswara Rao bt Khizar Raoof 54-29, 72-9, 44-20.

Cricket tournament

Siddhartha Medical College will play host to NTR University of Health Sciences inter-collegiate cricket tournament from January 30 to February 3. As many as 23 teams from all over the State would be participating in the tournament, which would be held in knockout basis.

The matches will be conducted in Siddhartha Medical College grounds, Andhra Loyola College grounds and V.R. Siddahrtha Engineering College grounds.
