MRPS chalks out action plan

TIRUPATI: Leaders of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) led by its founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga met here on Sunday to take stock of the situation vis-a-vis the samithi's on-going agitation to secure categorisation of Scheduled Castes.

The meeting of the State executive of the samithi assumes importance in the context of the reported assurance given by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to the MRPS leader to sort out the issue by June.

The State executive discussed threadbare the agenda before the samithi and also decided on the future course of action to exert pressure on the Government to introduce necessary legislations to meet their primary demand for categorisation of SCs for the purpose of implementing reservation rules.
