REMEMBERING THE LEADER: Julakanti Ranga Reddy, Miryalaguda MLA of CPI (M), paying tributes to Mallu Venkata Narasimha Reddy at the inaugural of the CITU district conference at SBR Gardens in Nalgonda on Sunday.
NALGONDA: Narra Raghava Reddy, veteran leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), has called upon the working class to wage relentless struggle against the anti-labour policies of successive Governments. Addressing the seventh conference of the district unit of the Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) at SBR function hall in the town on Sunday, he said: "There has been a significant raise in the onslaught against workers since Mr. Chandrababu Naidu took the cudgels in the State. As the present Government is also treading the same path, workers must launch a united struggle to safeguard their rights." Apart from Mr.Raghava Reddy, Miryalaguda MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy, CITU State secretary Paladugu Bhaskar, district unit general secretary Tummala Veera Reddy and others paid rich tributes to the one of the heroes of the Telangana peasants' armed struggle, Mallu Venkata Narasimha Reddy, at the commencement of the conference. Mr. Bhaskar urged the working class to intensify movements to find out alternative policies to the process of globalisation, which according to him, had been taking away workers' legitimate rights. He asked the cadres to motivate people to fight out the undemocratic polices of the governments. He criticised the Congress Government for failing to keep the electoral promises.
