Kannan holds talks with Jayalalithaa on alliance for election

PMC-AIADMK may come together in Union Territory



SEATS SHARING: Puducherry Munnetra Congress party secretary Kannan with Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at her residence in Chennai on Sunday.

CHENNAI: Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC) founder P. Kannan called on All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at her residence on Sunday.

They held talks on forging a PMC-AIADMK tie-up in the Union Territory for the coming Assembly elections.

The AIADMK headquarters said here that the talks with regard to the two parties facing the poll jointly by forming an alliance went off smoothly.

Former Minister present

Party colleague and former Minister K. Lakshminarayanan accompanied Mr. Kannan.

AIADMK election wing secretary and Public Works Minister O. Paneerselvam, organising secretary K.A. Sengottaiyan, headquarters secretary and Law Minister D. Jayakumar and Pondicherry unit secretary A. Anbazhagan, were present.
