Hyderabad
Delay in bill settlement I am a retired lay secretary of the Government General & Chest Hospital, Hyderabad. I would like to bring to the notice of the Government the abnormal delays in settlement of my medical reimbursement bills by the Superintendent, Government General & Chest Hospital, Hyderabad, who is the drawing officer of my claims. I have sent several letters and reminders requesting him (Supdt., CH) to settle my claims in the light of G.O.Ms.No.718, dt.26.11.1981 which contains strict instructions to the officers dealing with the medical reimbursement claims of the pensioners on priority basis. I personally met the Director, Medical Education (Andhra Pradesh) on 05.05.2005 and handed over the representation for the delay in settling my claims, but no corrective action seems to have been taken. My three bills are pending settlement for more than six months. Constant delays are causing a serious setback to me from financial point of view. R.V. Balakrishna Dilsukhnagar Will DD give my prizes? In October-November 2005, Prasar Bharathi conducted "DD mega cricket contest,'' during the India-Sri Lanka ODI series. I participated in every match and won the following prizes - Nokia 6600 (1st match), Intex DVD player (2nd match), Fair and Lovely hampers (4 no's from 3rd to 6th match) and finally the mega prize of Onida 42'' Plasma TV. After every match, I received calls from the DD asking for my address, and my name was displayed in "Fourth Umpire'' as well. In the last match, even my name and phone number (09849754373) was displayed stating that I had won the mega prize. A couple of months have passed by and there is no communication whatsoever from the Doordarshan.
Dr. Raju R.K. Puram Shifting of bank There is a branch of the State Bank of India in Chandulal Baradari Colony since the last 30 years. Now, it has been notified that this branch is being shifted far beyond the boundaries of the colony to some place opposite the Zoo Park. While it is the prerogative of the SBI to have its branch wherever they like, we the residents request them not to call this branch Chandulal Baradari. This is essential as this makes our job easy and facilitates opening of a branch /extension counter of some other bank in the colony. Mukkavilli Krishnamurthy Chandulal Baradari Refund ticket amount I had booked a ticket vide 00KDZI for my travel from Hyderabad to Chennai on 21.01.2006 at 12.40 p.m. on flight no. G8126 of GO Air and cancelled it around 1 p.m. the same day. Due to some contingency I was forced to cancel my ticket at the point of issue. I requested the authorities for refund after formal deductions, which was declined. Alternatively, I suggested that the airlines provide me with a fresh ticket on the same sector for my travel on 27.01.2006 and was willing to pay the difference, if any, which was also declined. But the authorities were kind enough to take my ticket back but only issued me with a E-ticket wherein the time of cancellation was not mentioned, the amount of refund was not mentioned and neither the E-ticket was signed or attested with the company stamp. I request GO Air to refund me the amount due to me as per IATA rules. N.V. Goud Malakpet
