BANGALORE: It was a dream come true for seven-year-old Kunal on Sunday when he shook hands with Mickey Mouse at the Garuda Mall in the city. Similar was the case with Babli, Sonesh and Manu who walked in with their parents into the mall to watch live performances of song and dance by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Chip n Dale. The occasion was a 35-minute music and dance show "Disney Magic" presented by Disney Channel for hundreds of `toon-lovers' in the city. This was a rare opportunity for children as it was a first-ever live performance by cartoon characters, who enthralled the little ones in four performances one after another at the mall on Sunday. Children enjoyed to their heart's content as the stars forged ahead full steam with the Disney classic `Feel the Magic.' Soon the children were seen tapping their feet and clapping their hands in joy as the Disney team rocked on with the dance "Hot Hot Hot". This was followed by "Jumpin Jam", an original Disney song creation. The audience was thrilled to the extent when Minnie Mouse, Chip N Dale and the other stars presented a special Bollywood medley featuring two hit songs "Just Chill" and "Dus Bahane" with some real kicking dance steps for Indian friends. The show ended with the famous "Mickey Mouse Club March" and "Zip A Dee Doo Dah". After all that dancing, ecstatic children and their families got their moment under flashlights, when they got an opportunity to meet the Disney stars up close and personal. The lucky winners of the Disney Channel contest had the envious opportunity to get photographed on stage with their favourite stars. Children were allowed one by one onto the stage to enjoy proximity with the stars. While some children hugged and kissed the characters, some parents whose children had fallen asleep posed for photographs with the stars. To mark the occasion and keep it alive in the minds of children, the organisers distributed Mickey ears hats to all the little guests. Disney merchandise was up for grabs as game prizes on stalls at the venue. Major brands, who advertise on Disney Channel, had put up stalls to attract children.
