Woman jumps to death

Thiruvananthapuram: A 34-year-old woman, whose son had been undergoing treatment at the Regional Cancer Centre, jumped to death from the fourth floor of the hospital on Sunday morning.

She has been identified as Rameshwari Thankachi, wife of Radhakrishnan and resident of Vinayaka Street, Nagercoil. She had been staying overnight at the hospital with her son Vighnesh, who has been admitted to the RCC.

She has another son, Vishnu. The body has been kept in the mortuary of Medical College Hospital.

Drowned

Murukan, 30, of Kollot, drowned while he was bathing in a pond in his neighbourhood on Sunday evening. The body has been kept in the mortuary of MCH.
