Mysore fines & suspensions

MYSORE: Vijay Kumar, rider of Fantasy Girl was fined Rs.2,000 for accepting two rides in the Mangalore Plate, run on Jan. 25. J.H.Christoper, rider of High Profile was fined Rs.1,000 for excessive use of whip.

The stewards have suspended Afsar Khan, rider of Great Seal for not permitting his mount to run on its merit, they also have reported him to the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd for further action. He is not permitted to ride work.

In the Cochin Plate, S. Chandrashekar, rider of Pentium Four was fined Rs.2,000 for causing interference to Appu astride Sasken approaching 1,300mts.

In the Ansbach Cup, the Stewards have suspended Gnanshwar, rider of Chanks from Feb.4, 2006 to Feb.13 (both days inclusive) for careless riding.

The Stewards have suspended Harish, rider of Braid Hills from Feb.4, 2006 till the conclusion of the Mysore Winter Races for dangerous riding. Further considering the reports of the Stipendiary Stewards they have suspended jockey Harish for the same period for his improper and misconduct towards co-professional in the premises of the club and also

have reported him to the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd for further action. Harish is not permitted to work.

In the Bababudan Giri Plate, Vijay Kumar, rider of Super Chieftan was suspended from Feb. 4, 2006 to Feb. 13 (both days inclusive) for careless riding.

In the Ooty Plate (Div I), jockey Noorulla was suspended from Feb.4, 2006 till the conclusion of Mysore Winter Races 2005-06 for unsatisfactory riding on his mount Red Sand in the above race, but he was permitted to ride work.

Hyderabad jockeys fined

In Hyderabad, R. B. Shinde, rider of Hummer, in the Godolphin Barb Stakes (1,400m) run on Jan. 29 was fined Rs. 1,000 for shifting in approaching the 1,200m causing interference to Hauhaiwunai (P. Kamlesh).

Jockey B. Prakash (Birthday Star) was fined Rs. 3,000 for shifting in at about 300m causing interference to Horatio (K. P. G. Appu) who in turn moved out fractionally bumping Hauhaiwunai (P. Kamlesh) racing on his outside.

Jockey C. Rajendra (Mission Chief) was fined Rs. 3,000 for veering out sharply at about 200m in the process bumping and forcing out Royal Glory (Y. S. Srinath).
