KOCHI: The re-accreditation process initiated by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) began at Maharaja's College here on Monday. Experts from NAAC visited 13 departments of the college on the first day of their visit. College Principal Augustine A. Thomas presented a report on the infrastructural and academic facilities on the campus. G. Ambika, faculty member and coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, explained various steps taken by the college in improving the quality of education. The NAAC team also held meetings with members of the governing body and Parent-Teacher Association of the college. They also held an interaction with the alumni of the college. Meanwhile, the re-accreditation process at St. Teresa's College will begin on February 2. A team from NAAC will review the facilities on the campus till February 4. In a press release, Sr. Christabelle, Principal, said the college has enhanced its infrastructure and quality of teaching-learning process after a team from NAAC visited the college in 1999.
