Aryabhata award for R. Narasimha

R. Narasimha

BANGALORE: Chairman of Engineering Mechanical Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research and former Director of the National Institute of Advanced Sciences, Roddam Narasimha, has been selected for the prestigious Aryabhata award for 2004 by the Astronautical Society of India (ASI). Prof. Narasimha is a member of the Space Commission.

Citation and cash

The Aryabhata award carries a citation and Rs. 1 lakh in cash while each of the ASI awards and Women Scientist Award carry a citation and Rs. 25,000 in cash.

The Team Achievement Award features a citation and Rs. 1 lakh cash while the Young Scientist Award has a citation and Rs. 10,000 cash.
