A. Sujanapal
A. Sujanapal had a busy schedule during his visit to Kozhikode last week after assuming charge as Minister for Forest and Environment. He was besieged with invites from organisations to preside over several functions. A schedule of his itinerary last week revealed that the Minister had little time to spare for office work and personal matters. On Republic Day on Thursday, the Minister took the salute at the Vikram Maidan. He later inaugurated an exhibition of the Kozhikode Sarvodaya Sangh and an arts festival of Chitranjali. He also attended other cultural programmes and Government functions in the city. On Friday, he attended a function to declare open a new bridge of Kozhikode Corporation. He also spent a few hours with the councillors discussing the eco-tourism project at the Swapna Nagari wetlands. On Saturday, he inaugurated the programmes organised by the Navadhara Pain and Palliative Care Centre at Kadalundi and the Department of Information and Public Relations. He also presented the Thikkodian award to the winner at another function. MLAs from Kozhikode have been Ministers on several occasions, both in the UDF and LDF ministries. But, Mr. Sujanapal appeared to be the most busy among the lot.
