GUNTUR: N. Prasad from Vijayawada zone became the fastest man in the APSRTC when he won the 100 metres race completing it in 12.03 seconds while A. Tagore from the same zone got the second place. The 17th M.P.V. Anantha Memorial Athletic meet, which was being held at Kasu Bramhananda Reddy stadium in Guntur, came to an end on Tuesday. B. Chaya Devi and A.S.M. Lakshmi, both from Hyderabad zone emerged as the fastest women winning the first and second places respectively. At the valedictory function, Minister for Information and Public Relations Mohammed Shabbir Ali was the chief guest. Transport Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana commended the employees for making the APSRTC win the prizes at the national level for highest kilometres per litre.
